Organizations need great leaders and whether you are in a position managing staff, interns or a team of volunteers, good leadership takes time and commitment. Join us in a day-long interactive workshop to learn about the techniques that inspire teams, bringing out the best in each and every individual.

Topics include:

  • What is leadership?
  • Qualities of a good team leader
  • Leadership styles and when to use them
  • Empowering and enabling a team
  • Effective delegation
  • Evaluation and feedback
  • Dealing with conflict

Participants will have the opportunity to assess their own leadership style and participate in problem solving and role playing exercises.

Bio: Sue Arndt
Sue Arndt is Executive Director of Not Far From the Tree and has been leading and managing teams in the non-profit sector for nearly ten years.

With experience building and leading effective environmental programming teams in nation-wide and Toronto-based partnership programs, Sue looks forward to sharing her experiences and learnings.
